Certification trainings

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Certified TRE™ Provider. Our Global Certification Program will equip you to teach TRE safely and professionally in both individual and group settings. This program is an excellent choice for healthcare providers seeking to enrich their healing practice with a somatic technique, as well as for those without a healthcare background who wish to share the benefits of TRE with others.

While there are no prerequisites to enroll in the TRE Global Certification Program, becoming a certified TRE provider requires completing the entire program and fulfilling all certification requirements, typically within 10-12 months.

The program consists of three two-day module workshops: Module 1 focuses on personal practice and is open to the public for exploration. Modules 2 and 3 focus on teaching and are exclusively for enrolled trainees.

All modules are both theoretical and experiential and provide CE credits to massage therapists and body workers nationally and to LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs in California, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The whole program provides a total of 55 CE credits.

Requirements

The requirements for the TRE Global Certification Program are:

Attendance in three two-day training workshops (Module 1, Module 2, and Module 3)
Four personal sessions with your Certification Trainer, in-person or on Zoom
Practicing TRE regularly, journaling about your experience, and submitting a monthly one page summary about it
Reading one of Dr. Berceli’s books and submitting a one page report
Four peer exchange sessions with members of your training group, in person or on Zoom
Watching the required videos and submitting a one page report
Five supervised sessions teaching an individual volunteer client, in person or on Zoom
Four supervised sessions teaching a small group, in person or on Zoom

Cost

The costs for the TRE Global Certification Program are:

Module 1 only (for personal exploration): $450
Module 1 and 4 personal sessions: $1000
Module 2 and 5 individual supervision sessions (you teach one person): $1200
Module 3 and 4 group supervision sessions (you teach a small group): $1200
Total certification cost: $3400

Cancelation policy

Full refund minus $100 administration fee 14 days or more before module start date. No refund less than 14 days before module start date. Your account balance can be applied to another TRE workshop or training with Maria Alfaro within one year of the Module 1 training. After that date, no refund will be issued. Refund will be established from any unused modules or supervision sessions minus administrative charge. Credit card or PayPal fees will also be deducted from any refund.

24-hour cancellation for supervision sessions is required. You will be charged in full if cancelling less than 24 hours in advance.
